So down here on the ice we have 3 runways, Pegasus White Ice, Sea Ice, and Williams Field. THis year they are only opening two of them. Pegasus was where I landed, and will reopen in December. In the meantime we are using the Sea Ice runway, which is very close to town and is visible from my room.

In order to have planes land they have to go through a lot of preparation to get the ice drivable and landable. Our Fleet Ops team drive these things above to tackle the ice.

as of today the sun rises at 3 am and sets at 12:30 am. pretty soon there wont be any more glorious sunsets/rises, which will work out well for me since i am going to be working overnight from now on.

Monster fighting Janos

This is my friend Ned, he's awesome! Every day is the best day of his life and he is so amazing to be around. Here on the ice he is a jano (janitor), but back on green land he is a rappeling firefighter.

Puddin Pops

So, down here at the end of the world we have to find a variety of ways to entertain ourselves. A few weeks ago the rec department came up with a quick dodegball competition. The teams ended up being very department specific. The DA's created the Puddin Pops. With illness abound, the group changed up a bit and ended up with two cooks.

Leon (penis pop) when he was on the cooks team, Team Ramrod - hence the pornstar stache. He lost his hair to win a bet. Hair or sans hair, he still looks creepy eh?

So the Jano team won undefeated, however there is hope for the DA's...The 2nd dodgeballs season begins in a few weeks!
